Our Work Is on the Ground.
And on the Record.
Mata Mundra Devi Charitable Foundation runs food relief and menstrual health drives wherever the need reaches us — from Delhi's neighbourhoods to villages in rural Bihar, and onward from there. Every drive is documented the day it happens: what we did, who was there, what it cost, and the photographs from the field. This page is that record, kept openly.
How We Work
We document everything, so you never have to take our word for it.
Every drive on this page went through the same discipline: planned with the community, logged on the day, photographed without staging, and published in full.
Every drive is registered
Location, date, headcount and spend are logged the same day a drive runs — not reconstructed later for a website.
Photos are unedited and dated
What you see below is what our volunteers captured on the day, in the order it happened — not stock photography, not staged.
We go where we're needed
Delhi and rural Bihar are where our drives have run so far — not the limit of where we work. A need raised by a community, an Anganwadi network or a local volunteer is enough to put us on the road.
On the Ground in Delhi
Food Distribution Drive, Delhi
Held on the anniversary of the day Smt. Mundra Devi lost her life on COVID duty in her own community, ten days short of twenty-three years of service.
We chose 4 July on purpose. It is not a convenient date for a public drive — no long lead time, no press cycle built around it. It is simply the day she lost her life, and it felt wrong to mark it any other way than by doing the work she spent that life doing.
Volunteers and family members packed and served hot meals and dry ration to families across Delhi — daily-wage workers, homeless individuals, and households going through a difficult stretch. Cooked food went out the same afternoon it was made; ration kits went home with the families who needed to stretch them further.
"I did not want a plaque. I wanted the work to continue." — the line our founder used when he registered this Foundation is also, as close as we can put it, why 4 July was the only possible date for this drive.
4 July is a date we mark, not the extent of the work. We run food relief drives frequently through the year, and occasionally at short notice when a need reaches us — this one simply carried her name on the day that gave the Foundation its reason to exist.

On the Ground in Rural Bihar
Food & Menstrual Health Drive, [Village], Bihar
Hundreds of kilometres from our Delhi base, on 2 July 2026 — a combined food distribution and menstrual health awareness and sanitary napkin distribution drive in a village in [District], Bihar.
Our founder ran Kishori Diwas for adolescent girls for twenty-three years at Kendra Pisawa II — health sessions built around one message: stay in school, keep clean, don't let silence around a normal biological process cost you an education. This drive carries that message somewhere it hadn't reached.
Alongside dry ration and hot meals for families in the village, we ran a menstrual health awareness session for adolescent girls and women, and distributed sanitary napkin packs to every girl and woman who came forward — many for the first time in their lives.
"She had been a girl taken out of school in Class 8. She spent two years persuading grown women to go back." That is the spirit this drive carried into a village where, for many of the girls we met, the conversation itself was the first step.
Menstrual health is not a side programme for us. It is the one our founder's own life points to most directly, and it travels with our food relief into every district we reach next.

How a Drive Actually Happens
Behind every drive, before a single photo is taken.
This is the five-step process every drive above went through, and every drive after it will. It's deliberately unglamorous — trust is built in the boring parts.
A need is identified locally
Through direct contact with the community, Anganwadi networks, or a request from a local volunteer — never decided at a desk in Delhi alone.
A budget and headcount are fixed in advance
We decide how many families or individuals we can realistically serve, and what it will cost, before a single rupee is spent.
The drive is run and logged same-day
Attendance, quantities distributed, and expenses are recorded the day of the drive — not reconstructed afterward from memory.
Photographs are reviewed before publishing
Every image is checked for consent before it goes anywhere near this page — the people in our photographs know they are in them.
The record is published — as you're reading now
This page is that record. Each drive we run is added here in full, with its photographs, the same way you see the ones above.
What's Next
The work continues, and it grows with the people who join it.
Our food relief and menstrual health drives run frequently through the year, and occasionally at short notice when a community's need can't wait. How often, and how far, depends directly on who stands with us.

Questions people ask about drives like these.
Yes — every photo on this page is from the drive it's placed under, taken by our own volunteers on the day. We don't use stock photography or images from other organisations' work, and we don't stage a shot after the fact.
No. Those are simply where our drives have taken us so far. We are based in Delhi and we travel — rural Bihar is several hundred kilometres from our office, and we went. If a community anywhere can be reached and served properly, distance is a logistics question for us, not a boundary.
Yes. We are a registered Section 8 company — CIN U88900DC2026NPL473208 — with an active NITI Aayog DARPAN ID (DL/2026/1153399). Both are checkable on the Ministry of Corporate Affairs and DARPAN portals respectively. Full governance details are on our Home page.
Frequently, and occasionally at short notice. Needs reach us from communities, Anganwadi networks and local volunteers, and we run food relief and menstrual health drives as they do — wherever those needs happen to be. Larger drives are planned in advance; smaller ones can go out within days. Each is added to this page in full.
We publish annual accounts and programme reports, and any donor may request our books at any time. Once our 12A/80G application is approved, donation receipts and tax-deduction eligibility will be added here and on our Home page.
Yes — write to us with your city and availability. We'll let you know the next time we're running a drive near you.

Every time a community needs us — planned or at short notice, wherever that community happens to be — the work is written down, photographed, and published here.
